The T40K-HD Smart Thermostat is a Z-Wave Plus capable thermostat with a full-color HD touchscreen. With mechanical wire detection and an Easy Setup Wizard, the T40K-HD is simple to configure. A C-wire is required for proper operation. The ability to interconnect separate parts of your home and have them work together to perform certain functions is the core of home automation. With its Z-Wave Plus capability, the T40K-HD will connect to your Z-Wave Plus automation controller and allow you to both manually control the thermostat through the controller, and automate the HVAC system based on other events, to save energy. For example, you could create an automation that sets the thermostat to an energy-saving temperature automatically, once you arm your security system to the Away mode.
